Joe Kirby was writing piano pieces from the comfort of his home in London, whilst mastering his craft in music technology for 3 years. He then took his ear around the outback of Australia, on a search to discover new textures and atmospheres to implement into his productions. Since returning home in March 2020 he has compiled his memories and thoughts into an album which will be released in 2021. It's called 'The Great Ocean Road' and was written about his time in Australia. Each track features a different field recording of a place he visited on his travels. Joe's harrowing yet sentimental compositions are so deeply infused with a complex depth, only adding to his story as a budding visual artist and filmographer, working beautifully scenic shots of landscapes and aesthetics over his music. The intertwining of these two creative outlets really boasts the flair of Kirby's imagination.
